The Arc of Tri-Cities loves our volunteers!
It requires many hands and hearts to keep this community thriving. Please note that this might not be all of our volunteer opportunities as things are always changing. Feel free to check our events page for specific events or give us a call!

Group Volunteers
Do you have a group or even a business that would like to help volunteer at The Arc but not sure where to help?
We are always in need of groups (big or small) to help put on events.

Partners N Pals Summer Camp
We are looking for outstanding youth to come volunteer at our Summer Camp! Ages 14-20s will be considered Counselors In Training (C.I.Ts) and will be eligible for an educational stipend (fancy way of saying we can pay you). We also have limited openings for ages 11-13 to be volunteers (this is a great chance to know camp and apply to be a CIT in the future).
We are also in need of community support for our campers to have events and places to attend during camp. See our Community Partner below for more info.
Buddy Club
Buddy Club is for high schoolers to become a peer buddy to a student who has intellectual and/or developmental disabilities that are within their high school. They meet once a week during lunch.
However, they also have events such as Prom, Movie Nights, Halloween Dance, etc. These require volunteers and prep. If you are interested in helping with these events, please contact bc@arcoftricities.com

Special Olympics
The Arc of Tri-Cities hosts our local Special Olympics Tri-Cities office.
Special Olympics requires many many volunteers and equipment.
Volunteer roles needed:
Coach
Assistant Coach
Fall Games Volunteer
Fundraising Events
Regionals/Tournament Event Volunteers
Adult Recreation
The Arc puts on monthly events for Adult Recreation. This is for all individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities ages 18+.
We have dances, dinners, movie nights, etc. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these events, we would love to have you!

Just Serve
As a non-profit organization with many programs and needs, we typically post on Just Serve for projects we need help with.
If you are interested in making us some crafts, or seeing what supplies we need donated, please check out justserve.org
Community Partners
We are always in need of groups (big or small) to help put on events.
Some groups that have helped us in the past: sports teams, youth groups, churches, local business, families, etc.
Examples:
Partners N Pals: We’ve had groups put on a dance party for our kids to attend. We’ve also had them do Slip N Slide events, Bus Pull, etc. Our summer camp is about getting the kids involved with the community.
Voyager Initiative: We have a monthly Nerf War. A youth group, family, or business could adopt a night to help us run it or just come and volunteer and play. Or help us put on a paint night, cooking night, etc.
Adult Recreation: We have monthly events whether they are dances, movies, dinner, etc. Come volunteer or sponsor an event.
Adult Day Services: We have weekly services for our clients to go out and enjoy the community. They are always looking at new places to go.
Special Olympics: We are always in need of facilities where our athletes can practice. And for the many events and competitions, we are always in need of volunteers. Since our office is still relatively new, we are always looking for community partners to help us grow Special Olympics within our local area.
