Payee Services
The Arc of Tri-Cities is a non-profit organization authorized by the Social Security Administration to serve as Representative Payee for Social Security beneficiaries living in Benton-Franklin County who do not have an approved family member or friend to manage their benefits.
The Arc has recently started a payee service to help people manage their financial affairs. This service may benefit you or someone you work with. People need payee services for a multitude of reasons. The payee receives Social Security benefits or Supplemental Income payments on your behalf. The payee must use the money to pay for your current needs, which include but are not limited to the following:
Housing and Utilities
Food
Medical and Dental Expenses
Personal Care Items
Clothing
Rehabilitation Expenses, if disabled
Who is Eligible?
Individuals, over the age of 18 receiving SSI or SSD benefits who do not have traditional networks of support, such as family or friends, people who are elderly or disabled, and those who have challenges managing their funds are eligible for this service.
