March for Respect

The dictionary defines "respect" as a showing of honor and consideration. Holding a level of esteem and regard for one another. It's a quite simple concept, actually. So simple, in fact, it's hard to comprehend how easily it can be forgotten. Especially to the hundreds of thousands of citizens living with disabilities. Regardless of our differences, we all want many of the same things. To be loved and understood. To receive a fair chance. To find respect. On the second to the last Saturday in March, more than 700 of us will gather to walk a mile for respect. With your participation, who knows how far we can go.
Date: Saturday, March 23, 2013
Time: 12:00-1:15 - Walk starts at 1:00pm
