Volunteers
Ages 11 and up
Volunteers are the heart of Partners N Pals. They provide
friendship, acceptance, and fun. Most of all they fill a vital
need in offering kids with developmental disabilities the
ability to participate in a summer camp experience.
Being a volunteer can be a wonderful learning and life
experience with many challenges but great rewards. It
requires leadership, patience, a sense of humor, integrity,
and good judgment.
Volunteers learn new job skills and have a wonderful time
participating in recreational activities and exploring the great
out doors.
Individuals who wish to volunteer must be age 11 and up,
willing to commit a week and attend a volunteer training
class.
The Arc of Tri-Cities utilizes youth volunteers to increase
supervision levels for campers and to provide opportunities
for service and inclusion.
This program meets guidelines for Family Support or Respite Care funds from the Washington State Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Since 1962 The Arc of Tri-Cities has been providing a
local summer day camp for all kids with a primary
focus on kids with a disability. Campers are kids with
disabilities including Autisim, cerebral palsy, Down
Syndrome, and ADHD and kids with out
disabilities.
Partners N Pals is an opportunity for kids to make
friends, learn to accept others, develop patience,
compassion, and develop
independence.
Partners N Pals operates approximately 8 weeks
during the summer months starting in June and
ending in August
