People Making A
Difference
Governmental Affairs
Advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities
and their families is an important aspect of The Arc of
Tri-Cities.  The Governmental Affairs Committee supports
and acts for the betterment of the programs and functions
of The Arc, as well as support of the betterment of those
we serve and their goals of where and how they learn,
live, work and play.

The Arc of Tri-Cities works to advance state and federal
public policy in the interest of protecting and enhancing
the vital programs and services for individuals with
developmental disabilities and their families. We are
committed to being a visible community leader.

Through the work of our Governmental Affairs Committee
and in collaboration with The Arc of Washington and The
Arc of United States including local organizations we
focus on legislative, regulatory and legal issues at the
state and federal level.
Together, we strive for equity and equality for people with
disabilities through public policy.  The Governmental
Affairs Committee team builds relationships with key
officials, influences legislation and regulation.
