"Serving Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and their Families since 1950"

Pre-vocational
Person to Person service is a pathway to employment.
Individuals of working age (as defined by DDD Policy 4.11)
will be provided pre-vocational support services with the
goal of moving towards integrated employment. Pre-
vocational supports are based on self-directed goals which
include the development of skills. Skills are achieved
through class room education, hands on training, on-site job
observations, increase of physical stamina and community
involvement through volunteering.
The Arc of Tri-Cities develops an interest assessment with
the individuals, family, friends and care-provider’s. The
information provided during the interest assessment is used
to develop individual goals and their individualized pathway
to employment.
Person to Person provides individuals with tangible pre-
employment skills that can be used to enter the workforce
including transition to Goodwill Industries and/or Columbia
Industries supported employment services.
